It costs $5 to start, .03 per 1000 impressions and .03 per click. I asked Webloid and he said it should last about a month. I'll kick in some of the dollars, we can do some kind of asset gift repurchase thing to get the money where it needs to go.
Two Things
Who else will kick in some pennies
Who wants to design the add, my idea so I back out by default.

If we want to truly help, a dollar or two into the fund to get new members in here and thus turn them into productive members of weblo, is nothing. Pledge here minimium of 50 cents.

I'm in for a buck, we need 4 more dollars and a ad designer/placer.

Good idea!! I'll throw in a buck or two if you guys need it. Make sure it shows WebloSenate.com and not the more complicated one. Also I think some people are still getting confused thinking that the forum is at WebloSenate.com on Weblo and not in real life. Someone should buy WebloSenate.com in Weblo and make it direct to the outside WebloSenate.com and in the ad make sure to mention its a real life site and not the one on Weblo.

Just to clarify...

The ad cost is a minimum $0.03 per 1,000 impressions OR $0.03 per click. You pay by the impression OR by the click. It has been my experience that paying my the impression makes your money go further (you're bound to get more than 1 click per 1,000 impressions).

The $5 minimum campaign will generate either 166,000 impressions or 166 clicks depending on which way you choose to pay. Running 2-4 ads on and off, my first $5 at AdNetwork lasted about 5 weeks at $0.03 per 1,000 impressions. I'm still using my second $5 =)>

Use the 300x250 banner ad - that's the one that appears in the default ad space on our asset pages and is most likely to be seen by Weblo members.

I had a friend do this banner for me a while back. If you think it sends the right message to the kind of members we're looking for, and has eye appeal you're free to use it. It doesn't have to be linked to my asset, just another idea that went nowhere.

I also think we should be able to keep track through the ad of how many actual clicks turn into membership here. So maybe we should try the 166 clicks for $5. That way we can see how fast we go through them and poll who joined through the ad. Once we have and idea of activity we could then go the impression route. I'll be happy to kick in a buck or two for each running.

Here's the link. What do you think? http://www.weblo.com/asset_image/449472/37251/Weblo_Investment_Club/

p.s. I couldn't figure how to use the "browse" option to post the pic here from my computer. Rolling Eyes

I'll get something together and post it back here this afternoon. Before I get too far with it throw me out some ideas - what do we want to say?

I'm thinking some brief text saying something about community forum hints, tips, ratings, ACTIVE users, and that sort of thing. Lol, I might be able to canibalize parts old Webloid's Forum ads. It should probably keep with the roman/senate/latin kind of theme, huh?

why does tossing Team weblo to the lions come to mind .

Webloid if you can kind of tilt it to new players that may be a better angle. Lets face it the old schoolers know about it from our mail. We need new blood for the sake of weblo. But your the man, this is the first try. After a while im sure we can
make the ad more to the point ....like weblo 101 .

Beautiful work Webloid, Arf are you going to run it with you resrve add money or do we need to start collecting money. If we need to get you cash set the minimum offer on Weblo world at a buck and I'll make my offer and gift back and we can repeat the cycle through everyone else. Just link it in this thread so we can all acess it easy. If there is a better idea or this will not work let me know. In the end Weblo makes money on the taxes of these transactions and the ad money..... I will refrain from further comment.

If you want to force the add to appear everywhere, temporarily raise your CPM to $0.12 and it'll be like on every third page. I do this to check that my ads look right and a click brings to you to the right place - it works. Don't forget to put the CPM back to $0.03 or you'll burn your funds faster than you mean to. Once you get a feel for it you can adjust the CPM bid up and down to get just the exposure you want.

Webloid, could you put a line in to entice members to click, such as "Learn All About Weblo",

or "Help Site for Weblo Members", or whatever, and we can test the responses?
